Iron Bowl, Good Ole Fashioned Hate, and More Thanksgiving Weekend

So I'm presently watching the Iron Bowl, the annual rivalry game in Birmingham against the Universities of Auburn and Alabama. I am screaming Roll Tide from my couch, PS the score just changed to 21-0 with 2 left in first!

I have always pulled for Bama, when they weren't playing Georgia, but this game is especially meaningful to many Dawg fans out there. Nick Fairley is a very dirty player, and after those hits on Aaron Murray 2 weeks ago, I want to see his team humiliated. This is whole sCam Newton fiasco is another issue. What ever happened to just playing the game? This is why I usually prefer college football over pros, it's supposed to be about passion for the game and not money!

Anyway, the GA GT game is tomorrow. I'm sooo excited, but sooo depressed. One of my best friends will be in town for this game, the first UGA game we have gone too together. BUT it's also my last game as a student. I don't know where I'll be next year, so I can't imagine I'll be back between the hedges anytime soon. It's gonna be so sad to leave that student section Saturday!

However, a W will really help boost my spirits. WE HAVE TO WRECK TECH!! I mean their starting QB broke his arm, so they're playing a freshman quarterback! We will have all of our starters, and it'll be at home!! The one thing that worries me is that the fans are calling for a Blackout. Perosnally, I think that's the dumbest idea ever. Our last two attempts with gimmicks ended not just badly, but HORRIBLY1! Let's beat em in silver britches and red jerseys! :)

But off of football, time to reflect on Thanksgiving week.

Sunday: I spent the day with my buddy Travis. We went to the Mall of Georgia to see Harry Potter 7.1 The Deathly Hallows. Great movie! It was a little slow, but it was awesome. Hanging out with Travis was amazing too. He's truly one of my very best friends, and I love him dearly.

Monday: I rode up to Dahlonega with my little sister Emily. I dropped her off to class then headed to El Jimador to see another great friend, Matt. We moved to Shenanigans with the puppy and Emily stopped in between her many social functions that night. Then we went to Bourbon to see Matt's coworkers. All in all, it was a great evening.

Tuesday: I returned to Winder with Emily, then went to work a very slow night at Gnat's with my good pal Kelly. I worked out a little after I got off then returned home to Winder.

Wednesday: I didn't do anything. haha. My sister and I watched The Unit and Dukes of Hazzard all day long. It was glorious. We did have breakfast with our grandparents though. And for dinner we went to our old Church for a chicken stew supper. Then I headed to Jefferson to see Other Side of Homer. I was joined by my country roommate Alexis.

Thursday: gobble gobble!! I had a lot of delicious food with my wonderful family members.

Friday/Today: I've been watching tv with sister and mom. :)

Here's hoping everyone out there had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Peace!
